Rosa Brunello, Electric & Double Bass
Jazz that connects Souls.

Rosa Brunello, bassist and composer whose style ranges from free improvisation to electric rock, dub and modern mainstream, presents at U&J her latest album ‘Sounds Like Freedom’, recorded in Verona in September 2021 and released by the Californian label Domanda Music, with key contributions from British jazz star Yazz Ahmed, Arab experimental music pioneer Maurice Louca and sensational Italian drummer Marco Frattini. The album is a cross-section of these strange times in which human contact has been ‘rationed’ and performances by musicians everywhere have been greatly reduced. In this album Rosa brings influences from each of her musicians to celebrate the freedom and joy of sharing experiences and spaces with others, at a time when these simple pleasures can no longer be taken for granted. Jazz that connects Souls.
