Il Soul System Quartet è una formazione collaudata da ormai quasi 10 anni e propone un repertorio che fa riferimento al soul-jazz degli anni ’60, che affonda le sue radici nell’hard bop, con influenze rhythm&blues.
I temi di Horace Silver, Nat Adderley, Joe Zawinul, Lee Morgan e molti altri fanno da colonna portante ad una happy music raffinata e coinvolgente, che si lascia piacevolmente contaminare anche da sonorità etniche e funky e dove il timbro caldo e ricco di armoniche dell’organo Hammond definisce il sound e indica la direzione del gruppo.
The Soul System Quartet is a proven line-up for almost 10 years now and offers a 1960s soul-jazz repertory rooted in hard bop, with R&B influences. The themes of Horace Silver, Nat Adderley, Joe Zawinul, Lee Morgan and many others are the pillars of a refined and engaging happy music, which is also pleasantly contaminated by ethnic and funky sounds and where the warm and richly harmonic timbre of the Hammond organ defines the sound and indicates the direction of the group.
